ABOUT

Cody Liew is a photographer and filmmaker from the Lower East Side, New York. His work explores and reflects upon his identity as a gay first-generation Chinese Malaysian-American. Through these explorations, he creates romanticized and escapist worlds in his work as a form of reconciliation and healing. By externalizing his inner world through a warm and dreamy visual language, he hopes to contribute new perspectives and narratives within the storytelling of the Asian-American diaspora.
